For those considering a no-main-light installation, first check if your ceiling height is sufficient! My original ceiling height was 2.9 meters. After installing no main light, I lowered the ceiling by 10 centimeters, and after laying the floor tiles, it was still 2.6 meters high. The side of the ducted air conditioner is 15 centimeters away from the suspended ceiling, so airflow is perfectly fine. Although the space is relatively high, it doesn't feel oppressive.
Regarding the no-main-light installation: I used two 3-meter magnetic tracks, six 10W floodlights, four 12W grid lights, 4000K color temperature LED strips, and five black cup spotlights. I chose Aidohui lighting fixtures, which have good anti-glare effects, achieving the effect of seeing the light but not the source.
With this lighting combination in my home, the brightness is completely sufficient; it's neither dim nor has any dark areas. For those of you doing DIY installations, if you want to install no main light, remember to plan the wiring and sockets in advance when you're doing the plumbing and electrical work! The ceiling tracks should be purchased in advance and pre-installed by the contractor.
Although the furniture hasn't arrived yet, I can't help but turn on the lights every time I visit the new house. Overall, the feel is quite nice, achieving the effect I wanted!
In short, the design and installation of a no-main-light layout needs to be planned in advance, ensuring the ceiling height and wiring meet requirements, to create the ideal home atmosphere!
