Ballast Characteristics of Spotlights

First, we need to understand the characteristics of spotlight ballasts. A ballast is an electrical device mainly used to control the current and voltage in a circuit, thus stabilizing the power supply voltage. A ballast uses a coil to change the phase difference between currents and uses switching devices to control its output, thereby providing a stable voltage and current. Spotlights can use the same lamp with constant power under different voltages; therefore, a spotlight can be considered a type of lighting fixture with ballast characteristics.
